Calling all computer buffs I'm in the market for a kick arse gaming computer.
I have given this some thought and rather than buy one and you lads say 2 weeks down the line that “thats shit, you should have got this and why the fook did you get that you tosser” lol, I thought you Buffs could design and put together a computer each ( 3 or 4 of you) and each one of you could take a look at each others system and talk to each other and find ways of improving the pc,
eg (don't laugh) better quality parts at the same price or a little extra, parts that are there but are a wast of time and so on.
After this proses hopefully the outcome will my new pc
The following rules have to apply
: £1000 to spend or may be more if its worth it : I need to be able to order the finished pc on line, that you have designed : Some kind of guarantee : Kick arse case : Room for upgrade
You get the picture.
Also ideas for new Monitor, keyboard and mouse (not included in the price but to be purchased at a later date)
keyboard ....ideazon merc stealth or wolfclaw type 2 gaming keyboard.i have the stealth at the moment but did have a type 2 same as bees.we wouldnt go back to a normal layout.
mouse either g9 or deathadder i have both and they both excellent, but as mcad said the raccat have pretty good reviews.
parts i make a list of wot i think and post later. Image: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p145/Interne1/snipernew.gif
found a roccat bundle on novatech bundle its not that much of a saving though and idk if u need a headset, u could probably find them cheaper elsewhere but if ur interested in roccat its a price benchmark
Aleinware aurora was the pc i had that , broken within 2 months due to the liquid cooling tubing splitting , when i got it , it was £6000 and it was all down the drain , i went to this site ,
www.beastcomputers.co.uk (which specialise in building pc for E-sports professional players.) so the Pc's are the best you can get for gaming. i got mine on here and modded it for only £8800.
Anyways i would recommend looking @ this link for the professional configurator for another site which also supplys hand picked by you , professional gaming systems.
I would either do the same as me and get a asus MB (very easy ot overclock) and intel core2 quad 2.83x4 £900 would get u the lot mb, processor, 8gig ram, 260 gpu (or better) monitor, new sata drive, mouse, keyboard, headset, windows7, and case, it wouldnt be the fastest rig out there but best bang for buck, pop down to your news agents and pick up a copy of pcgamer, they are building a rig in there and thats what i based my components on.
or you could go down the i7 route like btn mentioned in my pc post, but i have no idea about that m8
